AGENDA

1) SPECIAL PRESENTATION -

Slide show and discussion about the civil resistance that occurred at the
White House last September. Janet and Joy were there with Cindy Sheehan,
Cornel West, Gold Star Families for Peace, Military Families Speak Out,
clergy and others. In total, 371 people were arrested while waiting for a
requested meeting with Bush. They will also talk about an upcoming local
civil resistance action, titled "A Call to Conscience for the U.S.
Congress."

2) Organize for a March 18th protest on the anniversary of the current Iraq
war
*Theme = Fund Human Needs Not War - Vote Yes on the Troops Home Now
Referendum
*Reach out to local social justice, healthcare, labor, neighborhood groups
*Organize statewide peace groups to support the protest

3) Monthly MAPC Peace Vigil on Jan 21st

4) Update on the Madison "Bring Our Troops Home Now" referendum campaign

FOLLOWING THE MEETING: People may stay to plan the upcoming January civil
resistance action, which will occur around MLK Day.
