"Dear Friends in humanity,

On examining the recent events in the Middle East and witnessing the loss and displacement of innocent human life as well as unimaginable damage to the civil infrastructure in Lebanon, theMuslim Students' Association has realized the urgency of a humanitarian effort needed in the region. In formulating a response to the current crisis, the MSA is holding an emergency fundraiser for the people of Lebanon. Keeping in mind the diverse Muslim and Christian population of Lebanon, the MSA would like to invite the Christian communities of Madison to join forces with the MSA for this event. At a time when the world is becoming increasingly divided, I believe that by joining forces for a good cause we can together send a strong message to the world that people of faith can come togehter for peace. I encourage you to join us in this effort. Your solidarity and care for human life could be the hope that those who have been left to die and displaced from their homes need to continue on with life. The event will also feature a Lebanese Muslim speaker and a Lebansese Christian speaker from the affected areas who will share insights on the current crisis and the road ahead for Lebanon. There will be some artwork for purchse as well."

Sincerely, Saif Syed, President, Muslimg Students Association
