	"Move Forward Not Out" Rally and March for Self Determination in Allied Drive Neighborhood Recently, Mayor Cieslwwicz announced plans to buy nine apartment buildings on Allied Dr.and redevelop them. Madison ACORN, ALlied Dunn's Marsh Neighborhood Assoc. and a colation of social justice groups are organizing a rally to express the community's demands for low-income housing, jobs and safety as the neighborhood prepares for redevelopment. The Sept. 2 rally, occurring one week prior to the community design meeting, is intended to empower Allied Dr. residents and inspire the city to take creation of low-income housing there seriously. Residents of the area have asked for members of the Madison community to march with them in solidarity on Sept. 2nd and show their support for self-determination for the neighborhood. - Matt Johnson, 256-3402 MJohnson7@wisc.edu.
