Join an enthusiastic group of peace activists who enjoy expressing their opposition to the Occupation of Iraq and the War in Afghanistan. Be encouraged by the tremendous support we receive from passing motorists who respond so strongly to our “Honk for Peace” and “Honk for Impeachment” signs. We get over 400 honks in an hour! Bring your own sign (be sure to make it easy to read for a passing car) or borrow ours. It’s fun for the whole family.

On November 17, we celebrated our 2nd Anniversary of the Peace Vigils at the Malls. We had donuts from People's Bakery and Glass Nickel Pizza donated two delicious pizza's for the occassion. It was a cold and rainy day, but we had 6 enthusiastic picketers. One person was simply driving by and felt compelled to join us! We got 506 honks for peace and only two birdies for war.

The Peace Vigils are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month, from 11 am to Noon, and alternate monthly between East Towne and West Towne Malls. In January, we will be outside East Towne Mall at the intersection of East Washington Ave and Thierer Rd.

Listen to the radio report from the Peace Vigils on the Thursday after the vigil on In Our Backyard, 6:30 to 7 pm on WORT 89.9 FM. Go to the Image Galleries of this website to view pictures from past Peace Vigils.
