People of faith need to raise their voices in today's economic crisis and changing political landscape to redirect government policies so they embody compassion, fairness and the common good. Learn more about key issues, lobby and work with state legislators to bring about more just policies on health care refomr, hunger and education, immigrant issues, tax policy, job creation, and treatment alternatives for nonviolent offenders.
Keynote speech by Michael Kinnamon, General secretary of the National Council of Churches, and long time social justice advocate.
Folks will gather at Bethel Lutheran Church for the morning session, and move to the Capitol for legislative visits after lunch. Parking nearby. |
