Keep Hope Alive Globally, Act Locally - Counter Inaugural Day

Progressive Dane and Madison Area Peace Coalition will be hosting an Inauguration Day event (click for POSTER), aiming to get progressive people more involved in local politics where they can really make a difference. It will be a time to vent and to celebrate, with an open mic (for general ranting, poetry, music, or whatever you want to convey), prominent local speakers, and food and drinks and camaraderie.

The event starts with a picket at the corner of Blair and Willy Street at 5:00. On your way to the picket, keeps your eyes open for a 10 ft george bush riding around town in his crimson red automobile.

Head up to Cafe Montmarte at 6:00 for open mic with speakers including Mayor Dave and John Stauber (author of Banana Republicans and Weapons of Mass Deception).
