Street Theater for 5-Year Anniversary of U.S. Invasion of Iraq

Madtown Liberty Players have created 13 Mourner puppet figures with full costumes and papier mache faces to represent the victims of 5 years of U.S. warfare and occuatpion in Iraq. (See practice photos.) The action will involve a procession of the mourners with drum accompaniment. Those interested in being part of the action, volunteers are needed to wear mourner costumes. (Gather at 2:30 pm at State St. and the Capitol to get into costumes, practice basic movements. Please make contact in advance so all puppets can be mobilized!)
